Hello! I'm Rebecca Toskes, Owner and CEO of FlipThatDirt, lovely to meet you! 

I’m motivated by creating a real, positive change in my life and for others. In 2025, I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) as a User Experience designer and quickly found myself navigating the challenges of the job market. After about a year of rejections, I realized I wanted more freedom, control, and the ability to build something that truly mattered to me and would push me to grow.

That realization led me to start FlipThatDirt in 2026. I was ready for a change and wanted the freedom to build something of my own, something that felt more aligned with who I am. Land investing stood out to me because it’s simple, impactful, and full of opportunity. So many people own land they no longer want or use, and I saw a way to help them turn it into cash while creating new opportunities for buyers.

As I’ve grown the business, I’m becoming even more driven by the opportunity to create value from overlooked land, help sellers move on with ease, and give buyers access to affordable opportunities they might not have had otherwise. At the same time, I’m learning to navigate challenges like building trust as a new brand, understanding the large and small details of different counties and their regulations, and staying consistent with deal flow while continuing to grow. It's been a tornado of knowledge, but I couldn't be happier.

What started as a personal shift quickly became a passion for helping others unlock their own value.  Showing value in the overlooked is what drives me.

At FlipThatDirt, we believe unused land holds real potential. By making the process of buying and selling land fast, simple, and transparent, we help sellers move on with ease while creating new opportunities for buyers to build something meaningful.
